When a plan cannot run as expected
Adverse weather, natural conditions, road closures, safety restrictions and decisions by local authorities may prevent all or part of a tour or transfer from operating as planned. The final decision about whether to operate, modify or cancel a service for safety or weather reasons rests with Portugal Magik and/or local authorities.
The terms state that Portugal Magik is not liable for cancellation caused by those circumstances beyond its control. This is not a promise that every attraction or itinerary can operate regardless of conditions.
What the team will try to do
Whenever possible, the team will make reasonable efforts to adjust the itinerary, offer another route or experience, or reschedule the affected service. Those are options to explore, not guaranteed replacements. On a private journey, discussing a different stop or travel day can preserve the spirit of your trip when conditions allow.
- Check access and safety before setting out.
- Discuss a realistic alternative route with the team if a stop is affected.
- Confirm any change to the service rather than assuming it can be made automatically.
Unused amounts become travel credit
For an affected service, day or portion of the trip that cannot operate under this provision, amounts paid and not used are issued as credit for future use for up to five years, subject to availability. This is credit, not a cash refund, and credits may only be used by the original customer.
Separately booked extras, such as event tickets, follow their own conditions. Just get in touch and the team will confirm exactly how everything applies to your plans, or read the full terms and your booking confirmation.
